Find out how you can make bobbles in just a few simple steps to decorate your windows as playful snowflakes, for example.

Material

• Wool in the desired color

• Wooden block or similar stable object

• Two slightly larger nails

• Hammer

• Scissors

  
  

Method

1. Use the hammer to hammer the two nails parallel into the wooden block. Make sure that you place the nails in such a way that there is enough space for the wool to make the pom-pom the desired size.

2. Wrap the wool around the two nails, holding the longer starting thread. Wrap the wool evenly around the nails until the desired volume for the bobble is achieved.

3. Cut the wool to the same length as the starting thread so that you can hang the pom-pom at the end.

4. Cut another thread. Now use this thread to tie the middle of the wrap tightly together and tie a knot.

5. Cut the wool at the edge of the nails. Now you can shape the pom-pom and trim any excess wool to create a nice round pom-pom. You can use the two long ends to hang or fasten the bobble.

   
   

   Tip: Also works with a fork or your fingers instead of nails if you want to make small bobbles.
